How much brokenness must I have
To find the solitude I need
For the silence to heed
The darkness?
Why doesn’t the silence hold
Enough peace to overcome
The darkness of the isolation
Of the solitude?
How long must I wait
For the convergence to occur
Of solitude, darkness and peace?
Such that the silence that is born
Is a joyful exclamation
Of the faith and the hope
Of the Christ;
Where all the brokenness is mended
In the wholeness of the Spirit
That is denied in the darkness
Of the isolation.
What a world without brokenness
Solitude or darkness
Silence or Jesus or death!
