I don’t know how to pray for you in your suffering and distress,

I only know the discipline that in my life I’ve found the best,

In the knowledge that my sinful nature I must frequently confess

That there’s only one God who is Lord of all and by that Father we are blessed.

 

Yes, most times there is no solace from the suffering and the pain

Since we both of us too sinful in this journey still remain.

So we join ourselves together in the sun and in the rain

And we do our best and we weather it all and to each other we complain.
